| "Group of Discourses," a translation of the Sutta-Nipāta, is the fifth text in the Khuddaka Nikāya (Short Collection) of the Pali Canon, containing 74 short discourses in verse or mixed prose and verse, some of which are popular and beloved in Theravada Buddhism, like the Ratana, Maṅgala, and Mettā Suttas, divided into five chapters. Translated by K.R. Norman, this second edition was first published in 1992 and reprinted in 2015 by the Pali Text Society as part of their Translation Series, No. 45. It includes an extensive introduction, the translated text with five chapters such as The Snake Chapter, The Small Chapter, The Great Chapter, The Chapter of Eights and The Chapter on Going to the Far Shore, detailed notes including five Vaggas: Uraga Vagga, Cūḷa Vagga, Mahā Vagga, Aṭṭhaka Vagga and Pārāyana Vagga and indexes.
