Summary, etc. Elders' Verses II: The Therīgāthā" is a collection of Pali poems attributed to early Buddhist nuns, part of the Khuddaka Nikaya in the Theravada Buddhist canon, offering insights into their struggles and spiritual accomplishments. The Therīgāthā (or "Verses of the Elder Nuns") is a collection of poems in Pali, a language closely related to Sanskrit, and a part of the major Theravada Buddhist canon. The Therīgāthā contains 73 poems, attributed to 101 different nuns, although only 73 identifiable speakers appear in the text. The collection is also known as "Poems of the Early Buddhist Nuns" or "Elders' Verses Volume 2".
